Job description

Written and Physical Fitness Test

Scheduled for Friday, June 20th. Applicants selected to test will be notified by email. Confirmation of attendance must be received by Friday, June 13th.

Shift Details

12-hour shifts with rotation every other weekend off. Shifts are organized into Teams A & B (5:45 am – 6:15 pm) and Teams C & D (5:45 pm - 6:15 am).

Job Responsibilities

The Officer is responsible for protecting life and property within the Nashville International Airport's (BNA) jurisdiction. Responsibilities include recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions, operating Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles, including firefighting mechanisms, and managing vehicular and pedestrian traffic control.

Qualifications
Required:
  • US Citizen, meeting the rules of the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission
  • Valid Class D driver's license
Uncertified:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of successful work experience, defined as:
    • Positive reviews of work performance from employers
    • No negative terminations
    • Multiple employers accepted if above criteria are met or continuous full-time employment averaging 30+ hours/week
  • High school diploma/equivalent with certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in TN or nationally recognized certification
  • High school diploma/equivalent with two (2) years of military experience and an honorable discharge. Note: Military experience requires an honorable discharge regardless of other qualifications.
