Job summary

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in Monterey County is hiring an Office Technician (Typing) to manage documentation for requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices within the Warehouse/Procurement unit. Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager ll,CF and indirect supervision of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II, CF this position is responsible for all documentation of purchase requisitions (PR), purchase orders (PO), invoices, purging purchase order files and maintaining an accurate purchase order file. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position. CDCR/CCHCS employees are encouraged to use their existing CDCR email address on their job application.

You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
