Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Office Survey Technician in Los Angeles, CA to support high‑quality surveying projects across Southern California. You will prepare mapping, CAD deliverables, and support boundary and ALTA/NSPS work under the guidance of licensed professionals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD C3D, MicroStation (ORD) and point cloud extraction for surveying deliverables.
• Minimum 6 years of survey field and/or office experience and ability to read engineering plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication; familiarity with CA mapping standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mapping, drafting and deliverables for boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS, ROW and construction projects.
• Process survey data, extract features from point clouds and create CAD-based maps.
• Collaborate with Survey Manager and Project Surveyor to produce defensible mapping.
• Assist with boundary analyses, legal descriptions and survey calculations under licensed supervision.
