New Mexico Department of Health seeks a receptionist for a NMDOH residential facility. You will be the first contact for calls and visitors, handle the phone, direct inquiries and assist staff and residents with basic admin tasks.
Ideal candidates have office admin skills and good communication; no prior experience required. A valid driver's license is required and a pre-employment background check will be conducted; some travel may be required.

Our facility is a secure facility which serves the needs of adolescent males age 13-17 with a history
of violence and aggression.
Experience in office administration to include communication skills (telephone and in person), computer skills, customer service skills, multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, organizing and maintaining files, mail distribution.
No prior experience or training required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Work is performed in an adolescent treatment center, with exposure to mentally and/or behaviorally challenged residents, who may exhibit unpredictable behaviors. Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
This position is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
