Job summary

Americold is seeking a capable supervisor to oversee daily departmental activities and ensure smooth operations within the facility. You will address escalated inquiries, process orders, and maintain comprehensive records for inventory, personnel, and supplies.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in office supervision, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and company software. Some travel may be required for business purposes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in office supervision or administrative management.
• Ability to use Company Software, Microsoft Office Suite, calculators, desktop computers, and photocopiers.
• Effective verbal and written communication required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise office administrative or customer service staff to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures are followed.
• Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in collaboration with management.
• Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments to maintain adequate staffing and effective performance.
• Maintain and review records related to inventory, personnel, orders, supplies, and machine maintenance.
• Resolve customer complaints and provide guidance to employees in handling complex problems and disputes.
• Evaluate employee performance, prepare appraisals, and recommend personnel actions such as promotions or disciplinary measures.
• Assess training needs and arrange or provide appropriate instruction for staff.
