St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support daily operations of the medical office, including scheduling, patient accounts, phones, insurance verification, data entry and supply ordering.

This role also assists with patient care activities such as preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs and phlebotomy, under supervision as needed, within a large health system renowned for compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must have and maintain current certification or registration (AAMA, NHA, AMT).
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the medical office: scheduling patients, setting up patient accounts, answering phones, and data entry.
• Verify insurance and order office and medical supplies.
• Assist with patient care activities: preparing for examination, recording vital signs, and phlebotomy.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
