Job summary

Stjude Redmond in Issaquah, WA is seeking a full-time Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations at 1079 St. Joseph School. The position is in-office, Monday through Friday, 8:30am–4pm, with an hourly salary range of $23.00 to $26.00.

You will be the primary contact for students, families, staff, and visitors; manage calendars, communications, records, and enrollment support; and assist with health/safety and basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of administrative, office management, bookkeeping, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in a school, parish, nonprofit, or faith-based organization preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supplies.
  • Support enrollment, registration, attendance tracking, and student information systems.
  • Orient new employees, substitutes, and volunteers to school procedures and expectations.
  • Oversee front office volunteers and ensure established procedures are followed.
  • Participate in special projects and perform related duties as assigned.

II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Office Operations and Administrative Support

  • Maintain school calendars, schedules, and office procedures.

  • Maintain student, personnel, and administrative records in accordance with school and Archdiocesan policies.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supplies.

  • Orient new employees, substitutes, and volunteers to school procedures and expectations.
  • Assist administrators and faculty with projects, reports, and operational needs.
  • Oversee front office volunteers and ensure established procedures are followed.
  • Participate in special projects and perform related duties as assigned.
Student Health and Safety
  • Administer medications and provide basic first aid under the guidance of the school nurse and in accordance with school policies.
  • Monitor students referred to the office for illness, injury, or behavioral concerns and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Support school emergency preparedness efforts, including drills and safety procedures.
  • Maintain health records and incident documentation as required.
Communication and Community Relations
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, staff, parish members, and community partners.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diffuse and appropriately direct concerns or challenging situations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Promote a welcoming, service-oriented atmosphere consistent with the mission of St. Joseph Parish School.
QualificationsIII. Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Management, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and standard office technology.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial recordkeeping, and account reconciliation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
