Office Manager – Full‑time, Negotiable salary, Unknown benefits. The Office Manager plays a vital member on the team, managing day‑to‑day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, payroll, month‑end closing, and a variety of other tasks.
Office Managers have a strong desire to relate to and work with the elderly. They possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude, and portray a positive image. Office Managers find fulfillment in building personal relationships and caring for personal needs. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to enhance the dignity in people’s lives.
Office Managers will have a strong knowledge of accounting, an associate’s degree or equivalent work experience, and proficiency with PC‑based applications. They will be detail oriented, accurate, able to work independently and in a group. Office Managers without an associate’s degree will have at least two years of full‑time experience as an accountant/office manager responsible for financial reports, functional accounting methods, payroll computation, payroll taxes, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Office Managers must have experience with automated bookkeeping systems, spreadsheets, operating systems on the personal computer, and possess good skills in typing, ten‑key calculator, and worksheet preparation. They must be able to schedule and perform work according to deadlines, apply skill in organization, and manage several projects simultaneously. Verbal communication skills are important to carry on conversations with residents, co‑workers and visitors in an understandable manner. Office Managers are continually learning and growing by participating in educational sessions, in‑service training and demonstrations.
