Job summary

Chubb is seeking an Office Manager to supervise and direct the daily work of the office staff in Amarillo, TX. The role includes recruiting, organizing workflows, and ensuring policy compliance to meet budget and deadlines.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree in business/HR and at least 5 years of progressive managerial experience, preferably with crop insurance exposure. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive business experience.
  • Combination of crop insurance and/or managerial experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs work of office staff.
  • Recruiting and selecting of new internal staff employees.
  • Planning, organizing, and communicating work assignments.
  • Maintaining employee records, including vacation schedules, sick leave, etc.
  • Training employees in work functions.
  • Communicating changes in office and company policy and procedures to staff.
  • Developing and maintaining procedures manuals for division office functions.
  • Ensures the efficient operation of the office by monitoring processing and workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Evaluating and planning space requirements, equipment needs, etc.
  • Approves accounts payable and purchase requests to meet budget guidelines.
  • Contacting and directing the work of outside vendors for maintenance and construction projects.
  • Studying and interpreting program guidelines and distributing information to department Managers and other staff members.
  • Monitoring office procedures to ensure program and company policy compliance.

Qualifications

High School or GED required, baccalaureate degree in business, HR management, or other related field preferred and 5 plus years of progressive business experience. Combination of crop insurance and/or Managerial experience required.
