Job summary

VRX, Inc. is seeking an Office Engineer to support the Project Manager and Resident Engineer, organizing, coordinating, and completing highway and bridge projects with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work closely with staff to ensure technical and administrative tasks are executed effectively. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, NICET highway certification (III/IV) preferred, and OSHA 10 with site travel capability.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead by example and work well with staff.
• Support Project Manager and Resident Engineer in technical/admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Experience with NYSDOT construction contract administration, project documentation, material certifications, quantity/payment documentation, change orders, and project closeout.
• Strong knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods, materials, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required; ACI Field-Testing Technician Grade 1; Water Main Inspection Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to project sites for inspections.
