Job summary

VRX, Inc. is a civil engineering firm offering turnkey services in program, project, and asset management with offices in New York. VRX seeks an Office Engineer to support Project Managers and Resident Engineers, and to handle technical and administrative tasks for project coordination and completion.

The role requires NYSDOT/NYCDOT/NYSDDC experience and certifications (ACI, OSHA, Water Main). A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, with five years of

Qualifications

• NICET Level III or IV certification in Highway is required/preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of relevant highway and/or bridge construction inspection experience preferred.
• Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, PANYNJ, or MTA or similar public transportation projects is preferred.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required.
• Water Main Inspection Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to and from project sites for site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to the Project Manager and Resident Engineer.
• Responsible for the technical and administrative aspects of organizing, coordinating, and completing projects and assignments.
• Leads by example and works well with staff; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

NICET Level III or IV certification in Highway

ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1

OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification
