Job summary

Artheon seeks an Office Engineer in Camden, NJ to support Resident Engineer and project supervision with daily administration and documentation. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, maintaining records, and processing RFIs/submittals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 2–5 years of office/construction experience; on-site work in the NYC area is required, and MS Office with CM tools preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related field is required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of office/ construction engineering or related experience.
  • Experience with NYSDOT/NYCDOT/NYC DDC projects is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with public-sector construction documentation and contract administration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Resident Engineer and project supervision team with day-to-day project administration and documentation
  • Maintain project records, correspondence, reports, logs, and other construction documentation per agency and contract requirements
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contractor documentation
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project reports
  • Coordinate documentation with state and municipal transportation and infrastructure agencies
  • Track correspondence, action items, and approvals
  • Support tracking of progress, quantities, schedules, and milestones
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and clients
  • Assist with meeting minutes and follow-up items
  • Support change orders, payment documentation, and project closeout
  • Perform additional Office Engineer duties as needed

Responsibilities


  • Support the Resident Engineer and construction project supervision team with day-to-day project administration and documentation

  • Maintain project records, correspondence, reports, logs, and other construction documentation in accordance with applicable agency and contract requirements

  • Assist with the review, tracking, and processing of RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contractor documentation

  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project reports and records

  • Coordinate and maintain documentation required by state and municipal transportation and infrastructure agencies

  • Track project correspondence, action items, submissions, approvals, and outstanding documentation

  • Support tracking of construction progress, quantities, schedules, and project milestones

  • Coordinate with Resident Engineers, inspectors, contractors, consultants, client representatives, and other project stakeholders

  • Assist with meeting preparation, meeting minutes, project correspondence, and follow-up items

  • Support change orders, payment documentation, project closeout, and other contract administration activities

  • Perform additional Office Engineer duties as needed to support the Resident Engineer and project team


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related engineering/construction discipline required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in office engineering, construction engineering, construction management, field engineering, or construction inspection

  • Experience supporting projects for NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or NYC DDC strongly preferred

  • Experience with transportation, roadway, infrastructure, or other public-sector construction projects preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents

  • Experience working with RFIs, submittals, project reports, correspondence, and construction records

  • Familiarity with public-agency construction documentation, reporting, and contract administration requirements

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar construction management tools preferred

  • Ability and willingness to work on-site at project locations throughout New York City

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
