Job summary

Artheon is seeking an Office Engineer to support the Resident Engineer and project supervision team across civil, environmental, and infrastructure projects in New York City. The role emphasizes daily administration, documentation, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Qualified candidates will have a civil/construction background, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Procore is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years of office engineering, construction engineering, or related experience.
  • Experience with NYSDOT/NYCDOT/NYC DDC is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specs, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Procore or similar CM tools preferred.
  • Willingness to work on-site at project locations across NYC.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Resident Engineer and supervision team with daily project administration and documentation.
  • Maintain project records, correspondence, reports, logs, and other construction documents per agency and contract requirements.
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contractor documentation review and processing.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project reports and records.
  • Coordinate documentation required by state and municipal transportation and infrastructure agencies.
  • Track project correspondence, action items, submissions, approvals, and outstanding documentation.
  • Support tracking of construction progress, quantities, schedules, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with Resident Engineers, inspectors, contractors, consultants, client representatives, and stakeholders.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, minutes, and follow-up items.
  • Support change orders, payment documentation, project closeout, and other contract administration activities.
  • Perform additional Office Engineer duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related engineering/construction discipline required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in office engineering, construction engineering, construction management, field engineering, or construction inspection
  • Experience supporting projects for NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or NYC DDC strongly preferred
  • Experience with transportation, roadway, infrastructure, or other public-sector construction projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience working with RFIs, submittals, project reports, correspondence, and construction records
  • Familiarity with public-agency construction documentation, reporting, and contract administration requirements
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar construction management tools preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site at project locations throughout New York City

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
