Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
- (A) Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university;
- (B) Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*;
- (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
- *Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.

Special Requirement
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: If you are appointed, you will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). HELPS Program titles may be filled via a non-competitive appointment. This means that you do not need to take an exam to qualify, but you do need to meet the minimum qualifications of the title.
At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), employees hired under NY HELPS are expected to have their permanent non-competitive employment status converted to permanent competitive status. You will not have to take an exam to gain permanent competitive status.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact in writing and via phone with all levels of users throughout the district as well as vendors and contractors;
- Intermediate competency or higher in creating and editing Microsoft Office and Google Doc documents, particularly Excel/Sheets and Calendar applications and managing and organizing digital documentation;
- Intermediate competency or higher in WinCap and Frontline;
- Basic competency or higher with AV presentation equipment including tv, computers, laptops, projectors;
- Willingness to learn new tasks.
Position Summary/Responsibilities
- Academic Resources/ PLC Library;
- Conferences (Non-BOCES, Non-Webreg);
- Employee Evaluations: Assigning employee evaluations to their corresponding supervisor;
- Tuition Reimbursement: Review requests based on contractual requirements;
- TSSF Building Support: AV Support in conference rooms, replenishing supplies in conference rooms;
- Greet and direct visitors to the TSSF to their destination. This includes answering the intercom to open the door to the building;
- Work with in-district and outside groups who have booked rooms for meetings, events, and conferences at the TSSF to ensure that they have supplies, set up, and equipment needed for their event;
- Act as a liaison between these groups and the technology, facilities and warehouse departments to ensure that their needs are met;
- Collaborate with the Director of Professional Learning on Employee Evaluations;
- Tuition Reimbursements and Conference Requests;
- Process (non web reg/BOCES) conference requests in Frontline, make airline reservations, if required and maintain airline budget expenditures, but not the monthly credit card reconciliation;
- Maintain professional library materials and procedures including library online database;
- Open the PLC mail daily, date stamp and distribute to appropriate staff members;
- Process equipment loan reservations for the PLC in the library database;
- Serve as the lead support person for Academic Resources for customers by assisting teachers and other staff members with academic resources (posters, banners, laminating, photo printing, book binding and die cuts). This includes assisting the Director of PLC to update the displays and resources in the Academic Resource Room;
- Assist the Director of Professional Learning with the roll over building based employees evaluations to the current evaluation cycle;
- Run monthly reports on evaluation status, check due dates for various evaluation forms and send targeted communications to ensure timely completion of all evaluations;
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for professional learning registrations and questions;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
