Garner Cleaning Service is seeking a Cleaning Technician with strong self-motivation to work independently and, when needed, lead teams on job sites. The role emphasizes problem solving and reliability across diverse cleaning tasks for client locations in Southern Illinois.

Candidate should have transportation and a valid driver's license; background checks may be required. Training and advancement opportunities exist within the Promotion Pathway.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to lead others on job sites and solve problems to create successful outcomes.
• Experience preferred for cleaning roles and to be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks: trash removal, dusting, restrooms, break rooms, offices, conference rooms.
• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum, window washing, and other duties as assigned.
• Duties may vary by client locations and specifications.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

Transportation: Successful candidates must have a reliable vehicle or transportation to get to job sites. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license.

Background Check: Due to requirements of our clients, the successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.

Experience: Candidates with prior cleaning experience will be prioritized over those with no experience.

Requirements of Job:

• The successful candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision or in a team, able to lead others on job sites, solve problems, and create successful outcomes.
• The tasks required include general cleaning, including, but not limited to trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, and conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; and other duties as assigned.
• Specific duties may vary depending on the List of Specifications required by the client at each location.

Path to Promotion:

Cleaning Technician I → Cleaning Technician II → Senior Cleaning Technician → Supervisor → Manager

Benefits:

Paid Time Off: Earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Available for use after 90 days of employment.

Training: Garner Cleaning Service will train the employee on the proper guidelines, procedures, and use of chemicals and equipment during initial training and on an ongoing basis. Employees are expected to follow these guidelines and procedures as outlined.
