Job Description

Immediate opening for a part-time person to provide cleaning in an office environment. We are looking for a responsible person with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to perform general office cleaning duties.

Typical Schedule:

• Monday evenings 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (start time is flexible after 4:45 pm)
• Wednesday evenings 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (start time is flexible after 4:45 pm)

Six hours total per week.

Responsibilities

• Sweep & mop floors, stairs, and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, etc.
• Wash window sills; glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior. Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily. Standard bathroom procedures include damp-wiping glass surfaces, emptying wastebaskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors on rotating schedules.
• Collect building trash daily, placing it in an approved container, replacing liners, and placing collected trash in the designated collection area for removal.

Requirements

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high energy and endurance.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluency in reading, interpreting, and speaking English.
• Ability to follow schedules, keep commitments, and demonstrate professionalism.
• Able to bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds comfortably.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Ability to pass a background check, including criminal history.
