  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems to keep program and account information accurate and accessible.
  • Assist with processing basic account or program-related transactions according to established procedures.
  • Handle daily office tasks including scanning, photocopying, printing, and preparing informational materials.
  • Collect, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and other office materials.
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies and support upkeep of office equipment and shared workspaces.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team and assist with other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education Requirement

Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.

Experience Requirement

One (1) year of clerical experience.

Such experience must have demonstrated:

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of filing methods and systems
  • Knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling and word usage
  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of common office machines and equipment
  • Ability to make arithmetic computations
  • Ability to compare words and numbers accurately
  • Ability to keep records, summarize and analyze materials and prepare reports
  • Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment
  • Ability to understand and interpret laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and policies pertinent to the department
  • Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to deal with others in an effective and tactful manner

Substitution: Business school or college-level credits from an accredited college or university will substitute for experience on a month-for-month basis for the required clerical experience.

Only education completed at the time of application will be credited. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at an accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.
