Oxnard School District is seeking an Office Assistant II to perform clerical duties in support of a school or department. The role involves typing documents, providing information to the public, and assisting with student and staff needs.
The position is 8 hours per day, 203 workdays per year, with bilingual designation possibilities. Responsibilities include data entry, record maintenance, mail routing, scheduling, and assisting certificated staff with student monitoring.

Under the direction of an assigned administrator, performs a variety of clerical functions in support of an assigned school or department; types documents, letters, and memoranda; provides information to the general public; and performs a variety of clerical duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalency.
Experience: One year of clerical experience.
Special: A valid, California Class C, driver's license may be required, and if so, must be maintained during the course of employment.
Ability to be insured, and continue to be insurable, by the District's liability insurance carrier.
All licenses, certificates, and other requirements listed above are required at the time of employment and must be maintained during the course of employment unless otherwise noted.
This is a Dual Certification recruitment: Candidates who attain a passing score on each examination part will be placed in rank order on an eligibility list after promotional credits are added to the composite test scores of promotional candidates. These examinations are open to permanent employees and the public.
Requests for reasonable accommodations for the testing process must be made no less than three (3) days prior to the examination. Requests must be signed by your medical doctor, school psychologist, or learning consultant as appropriate and must be on provider letterhead and contain an actual signature.
