Balchem Corporation is seeking an entry-level Production and Inventory Assistant to support plant operations in Ogden, UT. The role focuses on coordinating production and inventory tasks, maintaining batch records, data entry, and front-desk responsibilities within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate company and contract manufacturing processes.

• Enter inventory data into the computer using purchase orders and production sheets.
• Assist with end of month inventory reconciliation.

Position Summary

Assist plant manager in production, inventory, and receptionist/office duties as needed.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate company and contract manufacturing processes
• Assemble batch product records
• Perform inventory procedures in a manufacturing environment (raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods)
• Enter inventory data into the computer, using purchase orders, receiving records, and production sheets.
• Assist with end of month inventory, checking finished products and helping reconcile any inventory discrepancies.
• Purchase packaging and office supplies
• Coordinate outbound shipments of product
• Notify warehouse of shipments needing immediate attention, special packaging or relabeling requirements necessary for shipment
• Answer and direct incoming calls and greet visitors
• Complete accident reports (First Report of Injury, OSHA Log), file and follow-up with appropriate agencies
• Responsible for self‑involvement, team involvement and execution of tasks relative to achieving annual departmental goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 1 to 2 years production and inventory experience
• Lean or Six Sigma training is a plus
• Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Microsoft Word, Excel
