Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a full-time Office Assistant based at our Long Beach Headquarters. The role supports clerical tasks, file maintenance, mail handling, and general office duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related office experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Clerical tasks to maintain and service files and records and process simple documents.
• Sorts, codes, and files material by simple headings or finer sub-headings.
• May act as backup for phones.
• Operate copy machines; copy and bind reports and proposals.
• Open, sort, and distribute mail; handle packages and postage.
• Assist with record keeping and storage (on and off-site).
• Other office duties such as managing supplies and running errands.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a full-time Office Assistant to be based in our Long Beach Headquarters 5 days/week.

How you can make an impact

• Clerical tasks to maintain and service files and records and process simple documents.
• Sorts, codes, and files unclassified material by simple (subject matter) headings or partly classified material by finer sub-headings.
• May act as backup for phones.
• May serve as Key-Operator for copy machines. Including copying and binding reports and proposals.
• Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail. Collects, weighs, and wraps packages; determines postage for outgoing mail; maintains postage meter logs.
• Assists with record keeping maintenance including packing and file storage (on and off-site).
• Miscellaneous office labor including managing supplies, files and office furniture and running errands.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of related office experience.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay Range

USD $25.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
