Job description

Department: Public Works
Grade: 210
Salary: $27.37/hour

Job Duties
  • Responsible for working with and at times supervising the other associates in the assigned department.
  • Assist the department head and other departmental leaders, per their direction, in managing the office.
  • Maintain payroll records for the office, keep budget information, pay contract invoices and other bills related to office work, and maintain office personnel records.
  • Work requires a high level of knowledge of all aspects of the department’s operation and proficiency as a high-level user and manager of the computer systems used by the office.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of executive level administrative experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience and experience working with payroll accounting.
  • Combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Certification as a Notary Clerk may be required, depending on departmental needs.
  • Must submit to and pass a background check and drug screen.
