Job summary

Google Cloud's Mandiant is seeking an Offensive Security Consultant to join the team in Reston, VA or Cambridge, MA. You will lead red/purple team engagements, assess security controls, and deliver actionable findings to clients across our security programs.

Preferred candidates hold OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF or relevant SANS certifications, and can clearly explain technical details. You will collaborate globally and contribute to advanced threat intelligence and incident response

Qualifications

• Certifications related to offensive security (OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF or relevant SANS)
• Experience assessing information security implementations and security controls
• Ability to develop documentation and explain technical details concisely
• Experience in multiple security domains (network protocols, threat intel, admin, dev, incident response, code reviews, reverse engineering)

Responsibilities

• Perform red and purple team assessments, assumed breach assessments and ransomware readiness reviews.
• Conduct external/internal wireless assessments, web and mobile apps testing, and embedded system assessments.
• Recognize and safely utilize attacker tools, tactics and procedures.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
• Advise clients on security practices to remediate discovered issues.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certifications related to offensive security including OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF, or relevant SANS courses.

• Experience with developing documentation and explaining technical details in a concise manner.

Experience in four or more of the following: network protocols, threat intelligence analysis, system and network administration, project management, developing applications, technical incident response processes, source code review, reverse engineering.

• Perform red and purple team assessments, assumed breach assessments (e.g., red team engagements with a pre-deployed implant), ransomware readiness reviews (e.g., assessing susceptibility to modern ransomware threats), threat analysis, and social engineering assessments.
• Conduct external and internal wireless assessments, web and mobile applications testing, and embedded system assessments.
• Recognize and safely utilize attacker tools, tactics, and procedures.
• Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
• Advise clients on security practices for remediating discovered issues.
