Job summary

Google's Mandiant Advanced Intelligence team seeks a Senior Security Consultant to lead threat intelligence initiatives for an AI-focused client. You will deliver actionable intelligence, coordinate with Google stakeholders, and apply security best practices across engagements.

Based in Virginia with onsite work in Fairfax County, you will mentor junior staff, drive risk analyses, and communicate complex findings to executives while balancing priorities across engineering and client needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role in cyber security.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Research and track adversarial cyber threats, methodologies (TTPs), and motivations to build comprehensive threat intelligence.
  • Identify and communicate critical security vulnerabilities specific to AI/ML systems to enhance intelligence sharing.
  • Produce tailored intelligence reports featuring predictive analysis on adversary AI usage and future scenarios.
  • Deliver clear cyber and AI security findings to audiences, including executives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address AI security issues, conduct vulnerability workshops, and integrate AI-driven detection into the SDLC.

This position requires onsite client-facing work 5 days a week in Fairfax County, VA.Note: Google's hybrid workplace includes remote roles.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role in cyber security (e.g., Network Forensics Analyst, Threat Intelligence Analyst).
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience leading teams or projects in a technical capacity, or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience in one or more general-purpose languages (e.g., Python, Go, C++, or Java).
  • Experience with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) methodologies, analysis, and application to support monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
  • Experience deploying and analyzing data from technical security controls (e.g., firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, and network analyzers).
  • Experience engaging with and presenting complex technical findings to executive leaders and stakeholders.

You will become an expert at balancing priorities, and demonstrate your efficient communication skills as well as familiarity with the customer's key priorities. You will work directly with clients to understand their intelligence concerns, unique AI threat-related requirements, and build the partnership between relevant customers and Google stakeholders.

US: $138000 - $200000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
