Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a on-site Probation and Parole support role. You will assist officers by monitoring caseload compliance, conducting progress reports, and managing community contacts.

The role requires a high school diploma with relevant program experience; a Bachelor's or Associate's degree with related criminal justice experience is preferred. This is an entirely on-site position with state employment benefits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree and 2-3 years of work experience directly related to criminal justice or a high school diploma and 3-5 years of the aforementioned relevant program experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Probation and Parole Law Enforcement Officers, including non-sworn duties, by monitoring caseload compliance using technology.
• Perform compliance monitoring on standard offenders, including progress reports and community contacts.
• Review offender financial obligations and other supervision conditions.
• Perform cashier duties in the absence of the Field Office Specialist.

Job Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree and 2-3 years of work experience directly related to criminal justice (i.e. probation & parole, law enforcement, corrections) or armed services; or a high school diploma and 3-5 years of the aforementioned relevant program experience.
