Job summary

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) seeks a licensed mental health professional to work within the Trumbull Correctional Institution. You will join an interdisciplinary team delivering behavioral health interventions to a caseload of mentally ill offenders.

Qualifications

• Licensure as LPC, LSW, or MFT by Ohio board is required or must be in process.
• Experience with mental health services within correctional settings is preferred.
• Licenses must match the scope of practice per the position description.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned mental health interventions to a caseload of mentally ill offenders.
• Complete mental health screens and risk assessments including suicide watch when within scope and credentialing.
• Conduct individual and group therapy and psychosocial interventions.
• Complete transfer and discharge summaries and maintain documentation per policy.
• Coordinate with staff, families, and community agencies for patient care.
