Best-One Tire & Service in Elizabethtown, KY seeks an Off-the-Road Tire Technician. You will remove, install, and repair tires across sizes, perform fleet inspections, and provide on-site emergency tire service. You’ll document work and coordinate with Service Managers to keep customer equipment running smoothly.

A valid license, OTR/industrial tire experience, DOT readiness, and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required. You’ll join a team that emphasizes quality service and career growth.

Formación

• Must have OTR, Industrial or Farm tire experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet company’s insurance requirements.
• DOT medical certificate may be required.
• Ability to lift/carry items weighing at least 50 lbs and perform related physical tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Remove, install, and repair tires on a wide range of off-the-road equipment.
• Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels with specialized equipment.
• Evaluate tire and rim conditions to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Provide fleet inspections at customer sites and make tire recommendations.
• Perform Emergency On-Site Service to repair/replace tires.
• Prepare on-site paperwork detailing services performed.
• Communicate fleet needs with Service Managers and Sales.
• Operate heavy-duty service trucks and hydraulic manipulator hands.
• Maintain safety standards for tools and machinery, including DOT compliance.

What You'll Do As a OTR Technician

• Remove, install, and perform repairs on a wide variety of off-the-road equipment tires, encompassing sizes from small lawn equipment to oversized rock quarry trucks.
• Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels, using specialized equipment.
• Evaluate tire and rim conditions to determine if repair or replacement is needed.
• Provide fleet inspections at customer locations to make tire recommendations to keep their equipment running in optimal condition.
• Perform Emergency On‑Site Service to repair/replace OTR tires.
• Prepare paperwork on‑site detailing what services were performed.
• Effectively communicate fleet needs with Service Managers and Sales.
• Operate heavy-duty service trucks and hydraulic manipulator hands.
• Operate and maintain hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Safely operate all shop and mobile tools and machinery in accordance with applicable safety standards.
• Maintain Company Vehicles to D.O.T. standard

What We're Looking For

• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Must have OTR, Industrial or Farm Tire experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet company’s insurance requirements.
• The ability to work in a fast‑paced customer service‑oriented environment.
• Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
• Must pass DOT medical certificate if applicable.
• Ability to perform all job functions that require lifting and or carrying single items weighing at least 50 lbs., as well as functions and activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
