Job summary

Howmet Aerospace invites applications for an off-shift Plating Technician in our Plant 4 Thermatech Operation. The role requires inspecting casting surfaces before and after plating, maintaining plating and cleaning line baths, mixing new acid strip baths, and operating the CETCO wastewater treatment unit.

You will submit maintenance work orders and ensure calibration records are current. The position requires availability for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend crews, with emphasis on safety, clean work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years’ work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects surface condition of casting, before and after plating.
• Maintains plating and cleaning line baths.
• Mix new acid strip baths in the acid room.
• Operation of the CETCO wastewater treatment unit.
• Submits maintenance work orders.
• Checks calibration stickers to ensure they are up to date.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
• Performs other duties, as required.
