Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Indianapolis is seeking a Plant Coordinator to lead off‑shift operations, coordinate resources, and maintain safe, productive plant performance. You will work with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Maintenance to ensure continuity and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in manufacturing with leadership or coordination responsibility; SAP experience is preferred. Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and technical knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead meetings.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary plant contact during off-shift, weekend, and holiday operations.
• Act as Incident Commander during EHS emergencies and coordinate response activities.
• Provide first responder support within training and qualification requirements.
• Coordinate emergency maintenance activities and allocate resources to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor plant operations and identify performance gaps or trends.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, reliability, quality, and cost.
• Support training, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help drive employee engagement and leadership support on the production floor.
• Promote cross-shift communication and collaboration across teams.
• Collaborate with site leadership on growth initiatives and objectives.
• Participate in committees and site improvement efforts.
