Job summary

Nestlé Purina in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. This role covers electrical, mechanical, and automation challenges and operates on an off shift (2nd or 3rd).

You will troubleshoot plant systems, repair conveyors and packaging equipment, and utilize diagnostic tools and PLCs for troubleshooting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environment OR 2 Year Technical Degree.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair plant systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general plant electrical equipment such as starters, PLCs, start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V).
Understanding of measurement and testing devices and mechanical systems.
Demonstrate good working knowledge of electrical diagrams and/or circuits and utilize during troubleshooting.
Intermediate understanding of PLCs, ability to access program for troubleshooting purposes (would not be expected to program PLCs).
