Job summary

E Tech Group in Portage, IN is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, test and startup automation solutions for metals industry applications. You will work with project managers and other engineers to deliver high-quality control systems onsite.

You will have a BS in engineering and 3+ years with motors, drives, PLCs and HMIs, industrial automation experience, and knowledge of PLC, VSD and SCADA. Off-shift hours are 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with AC/DC motors and drives, PLCs and HMIs.
• Industrial automation experience and hands-on project delivery.
• Working knowledge of PLC, VSD and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation and control systems for metals industry applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure project success.
• Lead start-up testing, drive setup, installation inspection and site acceptance testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Generate functional requirements and test procedures.
