Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is hiring an Acid Technician for our Whitehall, MI plant. The role oversees acid processing of castings, inspection per customer specs, and preparing acid solutions, with strict EHS adherence. Overtime and off-shift work are required as production schedules dictate.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and some manufacturing experience; visa sponsorship is not offered. Prior radiography experience and basic computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of work experience, or six months continuous manufacturing experience.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Processes castings through various acid solutions.
• Inspects grain on casting to customer specifications.
• Prepares new acid solutions to customer specifications.
• Complies with all EHS Rules required for the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to work overtime and off-shift as required by production schedules.
• The work week may include Saturday and Sunday as regular scheduled hours.
• Must be available to work off shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and weekend crew)
