Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver to safely operate off-highway haul trucks in quarries, pits, yards, and plants. You will transport crushed stone, sand, gravel, and other materials efficiently and safely in Vulcan facilities, complying with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Typically less than 2 years of experience operating off-road trucks in a commercial setting.
• Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate off-road haul trucks to transport material within Vulcan facilities.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of truck controls and functions, potential including air brakes, emergency procedures, and safe operating practices.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on the truck, such as checking fluid levels, functionality and tire pressure.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Some instances will require washing of the haul truck to facilitate a thorough inspection.
