Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced OFE Project Manager to oversee owner-furnished equipment and long-lead equipment for a hyperscale data center green field build in Kansas City, MO.

This onsite role offers relocation assistance for the right candidate and a path to join a global construction management team. You will coordinate with GC, engineering, and vendors to ensure timely equipment delivery, manage risks, and maintain project documentation, while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or related field.

About the Role:

As a OFE Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing management of the Clients. Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) & Long-Lead Equipment (LLE) for a Hyperscale Data Center green field build.

Join our team onsite in Kansas City, MO! We are willing to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do:
  • Single point of contact for Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) & Long-Lead Equipment (LLE)
  • Develop tools, trackers, and processes to align equipment deliveries with construction schedules including the collection, organization, and application of lessons learned
  • Provide support in the development of process improvement, including supplier/vendor purchase order structure, constructability standards, and changes to roles/responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers to cultivate trust and cooperation through all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Drive recurring meetings with all suppliers/vendors as necessary to achieve project success
  • Foster a strong working relationship with RCSM and their respective teams so communication is transparent for the timely issuance of equipment purchase orders
  • Maintain constant communication with the Lead Project Manager to be sure he/she understands the sequence/logic of equipment deliveries, delay risks, and change requests
  • Work with GC to identify risks & opportunities for equipment delivery & scope gaps
  • Coordinate with Data Center Engineering, Commissioning teams, GC, and Lead Project Manager to schedule, organize, and attend Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and Factory QA/QC visits as requested by the Owner’s team.
  • Meet with the Lead Project Manager, Scheduler, and GC to understand equipment dependencies to meet construction sequence and vet schedule logic
  • Communicate site requirements with suppliers/vendors that could impact schedule & cost.
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure critical milestone dates are accurate, updated, and communicated to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Manage specific issues relating to owner-furnished equipment, such as quality, logistics, delays, cashflow, submittals, delivery schedules, LLE Pre-Purchase Specifications, and Google’s Global LLE Tracker.
What You’ll Need:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • 2 years of experience on construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Computers
  • Good understanding of building networks.
  • Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
  • Good client management and building goodwill.
  • Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of teams.
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
  • Strong focus on quality and safety.
