Job summary

HazTek Inc. is seeking an OFCI Manager in Houston, TX to oversee owner-furnished equipment from ordering through site delivery, installation, and final testing.

The role coordinates vendors, tracks deliveries, and ensures gear is ready for startup and handover on a large-scale construction project. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in construction equipment management or project engineering, with direct OFCI experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction equipment management or project engineering required.
• Direct experience managing Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment packages.
• Experience working on data center builds or large commercial/industrial projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of vendor startup processes, BMS/controls integration, and system testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Defines equipment requirements and manages vendor delivery timelines
• Coordinates equipment shipments, site receiving, storage, and contractor handoffs
• Tracks vendor startup support, controls integration, and integrated systems testing (Levels 2–5)
• Identifies supply chain risks early and works with site teams to prevent installation delays
• Maintains complete equipment logs, including serial numbers, warranties, and spare parts
