CTL Engineering in Cleveland, OH is seeking ODOT prequalified Inspectors (structures) to support roadway and bridge projects, including the I-90 program in Northeast Ohio. You will perform construction administration, inspection and testing services, reviewing drawings and ensuring compliance with state specs.

The role requires ODOT prequalification, a valid driver's license, and strong communication. Travel within NE Ohio is expected; mileage reimbursement or company vehicle may be provided.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.
• Read project drawings, specifications, blueprints, and work on a variety of construction projects.
• Perform construction administration and inspection services for state, county and local roadway and bridge projects.
• Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals on roadway and bridge projects.
• Verify plan quantities and calculations are within bid plans.
• Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner.
• Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.
• Conduct quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Highlights

• This position works independently on broad projects under direction of a Dept. Manager.
• Projects are typically in the greater Cleveland/northeast Ohio region. Frequent travel within this region is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

• ODOT prequalifiedStructures Inspector is required
• Construction inspection experience on ODOT funded projects.
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utility construction engineering services and inspection/testing is a plus.
