JOHNSON SERVICE GROUP is seeking a Grinder for the 2nd shift in Downers Grove, IL to support our Aerospace client. The role requires hands-on grinding experience on Okuma ID/OD, face and centerless operations, with setup duties and strict attention to tolerances.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in in-process inspection tools, and the ability to identify improvements that reduce variation while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of grinding experience on Okuma machines.
• Experience with ID/OD, Face and Centerless grinding.
• Ability to perform set-ups with general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain in-process quality inspection and records.
• Set up grinding operations to achieve first article acceptance.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce part quality variation.

JSG is looking for a Grinder - 2nd shift for our Aerospace Client in Downers Grove, IL.PAY RATE: $23-$26 DOEJob Responsibilities:1+ year of experience on Okuma GrindingID/OD, Face and Centerless Grinding exp.Completes set-ups with general supervision/assistance.Responsible for all phases of part operation set-up to achieve first article acceptance.Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records.Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation.Qualifications:Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003”) of ID’s, hold .0003 profile, roundness.Understanding of machine tool accuracies, tool offsets.Knowledge of cutting wheel feeds, speeds, and wheel life for aerospace grinding.Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance).Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.Per ITAR requirements, must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card HolderBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug CoverageSpending accounts (HSA, Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA)Paid Time Off and Holidays401k Retirement Plan with Matching Employer ContributionsLife and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) InsurancePaid LeavesTuition Assistance#D800
