Job description

Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks an Academic Oculoplastic Surgeon for a part‑time, non‑tenure track position in the Department of Ophthalmology. The role focuses on a broad range of cosmetic and functional procedures, including complex orbital and reconstructive surgery. The faculty group places strong emphasis on resident education, and enthusiasm for teaching is preferred. The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary and benefits, with final faculty rank/title based on experience and credentials.

Essential Functions
  • Perform clinical duties in Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics, including participation in the operating room and outpatient clinic.
  • Advise and train fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to an academic career through research, teaching, and support of the department’s academic mission.
  • Attend departmental and divisional meetings, grand rounds, and educational conferences as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • MD/DO or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Ophthalmology
