Job summary

SINAPSE - Scottish Imaging Network in Edinburgh invites applications for an experienced data scientist to conduct original research on associations between brain haemodynamics in small vessel disease and retinal vascular phenotypes from OCTA images.

The project, funded by the British Heart Foundation and Alan Turing Institute, aims to standardize OCTA segmentation, develop network science and ML metrics, and explore cross-modal imaging changes.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting original research in imaging or data science.
• Experience applying ML methods to biomedical image data.
• Experience with OCTA image analysis and segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research on associations between brain haemodynamics and retinal phenotypes.
• Establish OCTA segmentation standards robust to routine data.
• Develop metrics of microvascular networks using Network Science and ML.
• Investigate cross-modal imaging changes across longitudinal data.
