Job summary

SINAPSE - Scottish Imaging Network seeks a postdoctoral researcher in Edinburgh to provide image analysis for a range of human and translational imaging studies, focusing on cardiovascular and neurological research. You will apply existing algorithms and develop new ones, including machine learning approaches, using MATLAB or Python.

The role is full-time (35 hours/week) with options for part-time or hybrid working, and a salary of £40,497–£48,149 per annum. Closing date 8 May 2025.

Qualifications

• PhD in imaging, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB or Python.
• Experience with cardiovascular or neurological imaging is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide image analysis for cardiovascular and neurological studies.
• Develop and apply analysis algorithms including machine learning.
• Collaborate with clinicians, medical physicists and researchers.
