Job summary

The New School in Lowell, MA is seeking Student Assistants for the University Welcome Center. You will help with in-person campus tours and participate in virtual programs to inform prospective students and families about programs, life on campus, and admissions.

As a Welcome Center receptionist, you staff the front desk, share up-to-date information, and contribute content to social channels. The role offers a hybrid schedule with on-campus and remote work.

Job description

The New School is looking for enthusiastic, outgoing students to join our team as Student Assistants within the University Welcome Center. Our Student Assistants facilitate in-person campus tours and participate in virtual programs and events designed to help prospective students and their families learn more about The New School’s academic programs, social life, and application requirements. They also serve as a first point of contact for visitors to campus as receptionists staffing the Welcome Center front desk and contribute content to the Welcome Center Instagram account, online admitted student communities, and New School Parent and Family Hub.

Hourly Rate

The rate for this position is $19/hr.

Work Mode

Hybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely. #LI-DNI
