Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled OCI Linux Administrator responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux-based systems within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Linux, along with hands-on experience in system administration, security, performance tuning, and automation.

Location: Wawatosa, WI (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and migrate Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Enterprise Linux systems.
• Manage disk storage, file systems, and Logical Volume Manager (LVM).
• Perform user and access management including permissions and authentication.
• Handle package management and maintain repositories using YUM/DNF.
• Apply OS patches, upgrades, and configure system services.
• Conduct system security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and OS hardening.
• Perform performance tuning and resource optimization.
• Manage and troubleshoot network configurations, including IP addressing and subnetting.
• Administer core services such as:
• NFS, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP, Sendmail
• Configure and manage firewall rules using IPTables and Firewalld.
• Work with directory services (LDAP) for centralized authentication.
• Troubleshoot system, application, and network-related issues.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting and Ansible.
• Support high availability setups and clustering (e.g., Pacemaker) where applicable.
