This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with a strong understanding of ocean freight operations and the ability to manage shipments efficiently from origin through to final delivery.

The successful candidate will coordinate both import and export shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and a high level of customer service throughout the shipping process.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage ocean import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices.
• Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure smooth shipment movement.
• Monitor shipment status, track milestones, and proactively resolve operational issues or delays.
• Coordinate customs clearance, cargo releases, drayage, and final delivery arrangements.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment updates, schedules, and any changes to delivery timelines.
• Obtain and negotiate freight rates with carriers and service providers where required.
• Review shipment costs, process billing, and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with relevant shipping regulations and company procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas partners, and vendors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in ocean import and export operations within an international freight forwarding environment.
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation, shipping procedures, and international logistics.
