Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services seeks an Internal Occupational Therapy Traveler to provide OT services across multiple skilled nursing facilities in California. The role emphasizes resident independence, functional outcomes, and collaboration with facility therapy teams.

The traveler will evaluate residents, develop individualized OT plans, deliver therapy sessions, and mentor OT/OTA staff while traveling between sites on a scheduled basis. California license required.

Qualifications

Internal Occupational Therapy Traveler (OT) – Cambridge Healthcare Services

Reports To: Regional Director of Therapy / Facility Therapy Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt / Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Provides occupational therapy services across multiple SNFs, focusing on resident functional independence and quality of life while supporting facility therapy teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents, develop individualized OT plans, and provide therapy sessions.
• Conduct group and functional activities, adaptive equipment training, and ADL interventions.
• Travel between facilities on a scheduled basis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor OT/OTA staff.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and documentation standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as required for patient care.
• Ability to safely transfer residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.

Work Environment:

• Primarily within skilled nursing facilities, with frequent travel between multiple sites.
• Exposure to typical clinical settings and resident care activities.
