Job summary

Alerion Healthcare is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist for a middle school setting in Algonquin, IL. This local contract role runs a 36-hour week over a 35-week assignment, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM.

Approximately 40 students are served in grades 6–8. The caseload includes IEP and 504 consultations, with additional staffing and off-campus placement considerations.

Responsibilities

• IEP Caseload: ~40 students across two program types.
• Self-contained and general education classes; coordination with staff regarding student needs.
• Off-campus placement coordination and supervision for a 180-minute monthly frequency.

Student Population

Approximately 40 students served, grades 6th through 8th Students are served across two program types: General Education - Co-taught setting Self-Contained - Strategy Education and SNAP 17 students are in self-contained classrooms 8 students are due for their 3-year re-evaluation

Caseload Details

• IEP Caseload: 40 students
• 504 Caseload: 25 (Consult)
• Students outside of self-contained programs are seen approximately 20-30 minutes per week
• Students in the self-contained program are seen approximately 30-60 minutes per week
• An additional 10 students receive 5 minutes per week of consultation to staff
• Some students also receive consultation through their 504 plan with no direct minutes

Additional Staffing

Another OT is scheduled in the building on a part-time basis
