Job summary

Reid Home Health in Richmond, IN is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a full-time role. The OTA will work with the OT and the home health team to plan, implement, and evaluate therapy services for patients in their homes, utilizing NestMed ambient AI technology.

Requirements include an AAS in OTA studies, active OTA license in Indiana, CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year of OTA experience. A valid driver's license and compliance with laws are also needed.

Qualifications

  • Associates of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field.
  • Active registered OTA license in the state where you practice.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Teach patients and families about home safety, adaptive equipment, and strategies to manage daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, treatment plans, and modifications for compliance.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to meet changing needs using outcome-based measures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and home health team to communicate patient changes.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join the Reid Home Health team. The OTA will work collaboratively with the OT and other interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy services for patients in their homes. *NestMed ambient AI technology****

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine therapy needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include exercises', adaptive techniques, and use of assistive devices to improve patients functional abilities.
  • Teach patients and family members about home safety, adaptive equipment, and strategies to manage daily activities effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and modifications to therapy programs for compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs. Utilize outcome-based measures to assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate and communicate patient's change in condition with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other home health team members.
Job Requirements
  • Associates of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field.
  • Active registered OTA license in the state which you practice.
  • Must obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification.
  • One-year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • Comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
