Job summary

Rivetus seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care in our geriatric post-acute setting in Bloomfield Hills, MI. You will work under supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement and progress treatment plans and participate in care conferences.

The role involves documentation accuracy, coordination with other disciplines, and active discharge planning to ensure continuous patient care and family instruction. OTA duties and supervision of students are included.

Qualifications

• Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program completed.
• Michigan licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy treatment to patients under supervision of an OT.
• Contributes to development, implementation and progression of treatment.
• Participates in patient care conferences and program development.
• Completes documentation adhering to policies and current standards.
• Coordinates with other disciplines for total patient care.
• Assists in discharge planning and patient/family instruction.
• Performs all OTA duties as assigned and supports department operations.
• Delegates tasks to support staff and may supervise students/volunteers.

Contributes to the development, implementation of, and progression of patient treatment and modifies treatment as necessary. Participates in patent care conferences and program development.
