Job summary

Rivetus Team, a specialized rehabilitation company serving geriatric post-acute patients, invites a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our full-time team at the Troy, MI facility. You will assess, plan, and implement OT treatments, supervise OTAs and aides, and contribute to program development and quality initiatives.

Required is an accredited OT program completion and Michigan licensure, with a focus on promoting independence and high-quality patient outcomes in skilled nursing settings.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.
• Ability to bend, position, transfer and lift patients from 80 to 300 pounds using appropriate devices.

Responsibilities

• Conducts occupational therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient independence.
• Provides occupational therapy treatments consistent with professional and ethical standards of the AOTA.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to reach patients’ highest potential for independence.
• Supervises OTAs and aides as assigned.
• Completes documentation and adheres to policies and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates in CQI activities and continuing education.

Participates in patient care conferences, program development, and screenings as appropriate. Provides supervision for OTAs and aides as assigned. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.Your Responsibilities:Conducts occupational therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient independence with activities of daily living, including self-care skills, work and leisure.Provides occupational therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the AOTA for an Occupational Therapist.Develops and implements treatment plans using adaptations, strengthening and retraining to reach patients’ highest potential for independence.
