Overview

Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $82–$287/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with home programs, daily living skills, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Support occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve patient independence.
• Monitor patient progress during therapy activities and provide guidance, motivation, and feedback.
• Document and communicate patient behaviors, progress, and outcomes clearly in written and verbal formats.
• Contribute domain expertise to AI training workflows to ensure AI tools reflect real occupational therapy practices.
• Maintain high standards of care, professionalism, and supportive patient interaction in all deliverables.

Requirements

• Experience using brainTrain IVA+Plus and BrainTrain Captain’s Log.
• Familiarity with Language Arts and Math educational software tools.
• Proficiency with database tools such as dBase, FileMaker Pro, and Microsoft Access.
• Experience with email tools such as Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems such as eClinicalWorks EHR, Laboratory Information Systems, and VHI PC-Kits.
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills for reporting and educational content creation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote environment.
