Job summary

Plaza West Healthcare & Rehab Center in Topeka, KS is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist the licensed OT in implementing treatment plans.

You will conduct resident screens, help with rehabilitative activities, monitor progress and document outcomes under supervision.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree from an AOTA‑accredited program; a COTA license if required by state law. Benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AOTA‑accredited program.
• COTA licensure if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Conduct resident screens (as allowed by state act).
• Assist residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises per plan.
• Monitor activities for proper performance and provide encouragement.
• Record resident progress for OT use.
• Assist with scheduling, phones, supplies, and paperwork.
• Provide training to residents, caregivers, and families.
• Complete forms and documents per policy and regulations.

Education

Associate's Degree from an AOTA accredited program

Licensed COTA if required by state law
