Job summary

San Antonio is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for a per diem PRN position. You will provide person-centered care and help residents achieve independence and improved quality of life, under supervision and per physician orders.

Responsibilities include planning treatments, documenting care, and collaborating with the rehab team. Texas OTA licensure and COTA credential are required; SNF experience is preferred. Net Health experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed OTA in Texas with active regulation and good standing.
• COTA credential required and current licensure.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to improve function.
• Provide services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist and per physician orders.
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner according to policy and regulations.
• Communicate with patients, families, and caregivers, and attend required meetings.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
